- A Lighthouse insurance agent that will walk you through the process of a claim, and answer any of your questions as quickly as possible.
Claims must be reported as soon as possible
A Lighthouse agent will tell you where to send documents, and all documents regarding your claim will be forwarded immediately after your report.
What To Expect from Lighthouse Insurance
As soon as you report your claim to us, we assign it to one of our agents. This person is responsible for investigating the claim, which may include such duties as ordering a police report, contacting everyone involved, interviewing witnesses, having damaged property inspected and verifying insurance coverage. In most cases when you report your claim to us, we will schedule an "appraisal" for the damaged property or vehicle. An appraisal is simply an inspection of the damaged property to determine the amount and extent of the damage. The person responsible for this inspection is an "appraiser." The agent works with all involved parties to reach a settlement.

- If possible, and if the environment is safe, take pictures of the scene prior to moving vehicles off the road.
- If it can be done safely, gather the names and phone numbers of as many witnesses of the accident as you can.
- A Lighthouse agent will walk you through the claims process, and answer any other questions you have as quickly as possible.
